After completing a BSc In Economics at the University of Southampton and qualifying as an Accountant, Peter joined Guinness PLC. Over the next eight years he gained extensive business experience in Guinness’ UK and International divisions. Roles included Chief Accountant, SAP project management, M&A and Strategic Analyst.
In 1996 he established Peter Charles Limited. His mission was to help businesses overcome difficult financial situations, recover value, and make progress. The firm consists of a small number of hand-picked Associates who share his work ethic and ability to be “supportively honest” with clients. A successful outcome always results in the client team being more capable and confident by the time the team leaves.
In addition to managing the team, Peter is Lead Consultant. On occasion he acts as Interim CFO for clients. He specialises in managing cash, pushing projects to completion and resolving difficult business situations.
He has extensive experience working with both SME business owners and large corporations across a wide range of sectors including manufacturing, technology, shared services and retail.
Peter is a Fellow of the Institute for Turnaround (IFT), the European Association of Certified Turnaround Professionals and FCMA. He is a speaker and consultant to the MBA courses at the University of Southampton and London Business School.
